Knight Transportation Announces Appointment of Kathryn Munro to Board of Directors

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2005--Knight Transportation Inc. (NYSE: KNX) announced the appointment of Kathryn Munro to Knight Transportation's board of directors. Munro is a principal in BridgeWest, LLC, a private equity investment company, and is also a director on the boards of Pinnacle West Capital Corp. and Capital Bancorp. Munro is very active in her community, serving on the Fresh Start Women's Executive Committee, among others. Her appointment follows the resignation of former board member Matt Salmon. Former U.S. Congressman Salmon has participated on the board since 2000. Munro will be completing the remaining portion of Salmon's term, which will end in 2006. Kevin P.
